Aged Woman Drags Redeemed Church To Court Over Noise Pollution.

Mrs. Esther Ogunsalu, who resides beside an RCCG church located at 4, Sogunle Street, Abule Onigbagbo Estate, Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Ikeja, Lagos, has dragged the church before an Ikeja high court over noise pollution.

The 79-year-old accused the church, Chapel of Victory of disturbing her peace “while conducting its religious programmes.”

“Their noise prevents me from sleeping and triggers my hypertensive heart disease.” She testified before the court.

Presiding over the case, Justice Aishat Opesanwo, referred both parties to the Multi-Door Courthouse, Igbosere, Lagos, for mediation.

At the Multi-Door Courthouse, which had in attendance, the church’s pastor, Dapo Morawo, and Mrs Ogunsalu alongside her lawyer, Mr. Dan Kizito, and the mediator, Mr. Dosunmu, both parties were made to sign a settlement, that is, an amicable resolution of the dispute.

The mediator urged the church to maintain “zero noise pollution” while conducting its religious programmes.

Resuming hearing of the case, Justice Opesanwo ruled that the court would adopt the terms of settlement of the mediator.
